    Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best greetings, and would like to inform you about receiving the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers (CG / 2454) dated 8/9/1439, which referred to the letter of the Saudi Customs No. (164142-39-184) dated (6/9/1439).

    It included that the Authority-through its electronic portal-posted a survey that ended mid-April. The Authority –through this survey- wishes to identify the views of its customers and its partners in the customs work on "the rules and conditions of storage areas and warehouses according to the unified customs regulations of the GCC countries."

    This have been reviewed recently and make a series of amendments thereto, as it included the rules and conditions for storage areas and warehouses, to specify the conditions necessary for the establishment of warehouses inside and outside the customs offices, to determine the requirements and specifications of customs warehouses and to provide the required documents to establish warehouses.

    It is also to clarify the mechanism of warehouse management and determine the customs obligations towards the goods in the warehouses.

    The rules and conditions also included a statement of the permitted operations of the owner of the goods or his authorized representative and clarifying the import, export and re-export policy in the deposit areas.
